The Alumni Association hosted the annual program for the Class of 2023 in March 2023. Twenty-two alumni, past parents, current parents and spouses of alumni joined us for a wonderful morning of sharing their stories with the senior class. Alumni that are home from their college breaks gather annually at Kellogg Park to enjoy burritos, reconnect with classmates and enjoy burritos together. 

In preparation for Valentine's Day, Kelly Senyei '04, chef and founder of justataste.com, hosted Baking with Bishop's, a virtual step-by-step interactive baking session for alumni.

In January 2023, alumni and the Bishop's community cheered on the varsity basketball teams for an evening of fun.

Over the past two-and-a-half years, this program has grown. With college finals approaching, families with recent Bishop's graduates gather two times a year to create fun and thoughtful boxes for our young alumni. 

The Alumni Association brought back Bishop's long-standing carnation tradition. On Feb. 14, carnations were delivered to each student during their morning advisory and love was spread on campus. 

Alumni and current students of Bishop's dance program showcased their work in an evening of remembrance and celebration of dance teacher Donna Cory.

The Bishop’s community gathered in March 2023 for an evening celebrating the School’s founder Ellen Browning Scripps and exceptional honorees who embody her spirit and character. This year's award recipients are: Gary Hendrickson (Retired Faculty) - Michael W. Teitelman Leadership Award; Dmitri M. Johnson ‘99 - Alumni Achievement Award; Laura Keehner Rigas ‘97 - Ellen Browning Scripps Distinguished Alumni Award; and Mimi Holman Test ‘61 - Service to Bishop’s Award. Bishop’s Austin regional alumni chapter joined for a happy hour at Central Machine Works Brewery in January 2024.

Bishop’s New York City regional alumni chapter joined for a happy hour at The Standard's Biergarten in March 2023. Over 40 alumni and guests engaged with one another. The chapter also gathered at Stout in Grand Central Station in September 2022. We were excited to reconnect with alumni from the 1950s-2020s. The group was joined by Bishop’s Head of School Ron Kim, Dean of Students Michelle Shea, Chief Advancement Officer Emily Hassig and Director of Alumni Relations Lori Boyle. 

Alumni gathered at Cafe du Nord in San Francisco in June 2022.

Alumni gathered at Capitol City Brewing Company in the heart of Washington, D.C. to launch the D.C.-area regional club in March 2023. Over 20 alumni met for an opportunity to reconnect and share memories of their time at Bishop's. 

Every year we gather on campus to celebrate our reunion and homecoming celebration!

In 2023, we welcomed back alumni from every decade and celebrated many milestone reunions for the classes of 1953, 1958, 1963, 1968, 1973, 1978, 1983, 1988, 1993, 1998, 2003, 2008, 2013 and 2018! Alumni and guests gathered throughout the weekend and ended the celebration together on Rohr Terrace in a Reunion Weekend Happy Hour. Photos to be provided shortly!

And, we had a blast celebrating at Reunion Weekend in October 2022 for classes the Classes of 1962, 1967, 1972, 1977, 1982, 1987, 1992, 1997, 2002, 2007, 2012 and 2017! Alumni were especially excited to be included in the Bishop's campus event, Bish Bowl, hoping to continue this tradition in the coming years. View the Reunion 2022 slideshow here.
