The Peer Support Program
Peer Support's mission is to promote positive communication that contributes to a connected and supportive community environment. The Peer Support Team uses strong interpersonal skills, group facilitation, conflict mediation, and communication and mentoring skills to serve as a resource for the Bishop's community. Working under the supervision of the school counselor, volunteer students create, organize and lead presentations for both middle and upper school students. They are also leaders trained in a variety of areas including diversity, stereotypes/assumptions and appropriate role modeling behavior.
Peer Support is an elective, non-academic, pass/no pass course that meets period X, two days per week for the entire school year. Students earn one semester of credit for the year.
