Support Services

Health, Counseling and Wellness

Goals of the Health Program

The Support Services Team provides services to students, faculty and the Bishop's community to facilitate self-understanding and to develop interpersonal relationships and problem-solving and decision-making skills. The team offers consulting, developmental guidance and referrals as necessary. Our purpose is to assist students to grow personally, socially, emotionally and academically.

Counseling is available as a source of support for students on campus. The counselor is available to talk to any and all students during the school day. When necessary and appropriate, the counselor will provide resources for continued care outside of school.

The Peer Support Program

The Peer Support Program is designed to train peers to serve as student support resources for the Bishop's community.  Volunteer students work under the supervision of the school counselor. The Peer Support Team leads discussion groups, provides resource links and education to the Bishop’s community on various teen issues.
