Location:The Bishop’s School Attendance:Senior class Attire: Regular uniform, or class T-shirt with regular uniform. This is not a day to wear college apparel as that is scheduled for May 25.
There will be a variety of activities planned for and by the seniors that will occur throughout the day including a Senior Chapel, a special reception for the seniors hosted by the Alumni Association and a lunch provided by parents. The reception will take place around 10:15 a.m., following Senior Chapel, in the Alumni Courtyard (outside TPAC).
Attendance: All seniors, parents and families. Reserving of seats for graduation is not permitted before 10:00 a.m.
Attire: Boys: dark pants, dress shoes, dark socks, white shirt, senior tie.
Girls: Semi-formal outfit of a dress or nice pants and shirt. Shoes can be shades of white through beige, dark brown or black.
Order of events:
11:15 a.m. Seniors meet in the gym to dress in cap and gown.
11:40 a.m. Line up in marching order.
12:00 p.m. March begins as rehearsed.
After Commencement, seniors must return gowns to the athletic center.
Professional video is available, which includes footage of seniors putting on their caps and gowns. The DVDs are available for purchase here for $35.00.
Grad Images will take photos of each graduate as they receive their diploma and awards. Additional photos of the graduate holding the diploma will also be taken. Photo proofs will be sent to senior parents.
In the case of rain, the commencement ceremony is relocated to the Eva May Fleet Athletic Center and seating is limited. Each senior will receive four rain plan tickets to use in the case of rain. These tickets are mailed.
The Bishop’s School is an independent, coeducational college-preparatory day school for students in grades six through twelve who live throughout San Diego County. Founded in 1909, the School is affiliated with the Episcopal church.
