A new class set to begin at Bishop's for the spring 2019 semester explores leadership.
Assistant Director of Athletics Shane Walton '98 will teach the course, using his vast experience as a coach, a Division I student-athlete and professional football player, and founder of The Shane Walton Foundation, which provides students in under-served neighborhoods an opportunity to receiving tutoring that better prepares them for admittance into the various private schools in San Diego County.
Shane will teach upper school students how to become more advanced in their personal understanding, decision making and ability to lead others through their self-understanding, understanding of others, management of self, relational skills and goal accomplishment.
The pass/fail course will explore three forms of leadership that will be further explored: leading others, being led and leading yourself.
Check out this interview with Shane for more information on the course. Students should email him if interested in participating.
