  • Balgrosy-Hinshaw Family Endowment for Athletics

  • Elizabeth O. Brown Memorial Endowment Fund for Evensong

    Established in 2003 through the estate of Elizabeth O. Brown, mother of Margaret Szklany-Brown '84 and Robert Brown '86. Mrs. Brown is lovingly remembered as a former Bishop's teacher, Board president, and Parents' Association president. Her love of the School and the Episcopal tradition gives this gift in support of the Evensong service special significance.
  • Endowed Leadership Lecture Series

    Established in 2003 by an anonymous donor to allow the School to invite inspirational national leaders from diverse fields to address students and faculty members each year.
  • Endowed Scholar-in-Residence Program

    Established in 2003 by an anonymous donor to allow Bishop's to invite experienced and gifted scholars from other schools or colleges to work with students on campus.
  • Jo Bobbie MacConnell Theater Program

    Established in 2001 by Jo Bobbie MacConnell, a member of the Class of 1938 and a longtime supporter of the School. This fund helps to cover the expenses associated with staging theater productions.
  • Joseph Family Athletic Endowment Fund

    Established in 2001 by Laurie and Roger Joseph in support of the School's Water Polo Program and in recognition of the excellent coaching received by their sons, Mac '02 and Reid '03 Joseph.
  • Overlie-Bartlett Family Library

    Established in 2002 by Dr. Paul and Candace Overlie, parents of Chase '05 and Candace '08 Overlie, to be used at the discretion of the School in support of the Huntington Library and Resource Center.
  • Parma Family Fund

    Established in 2009 by Barbara and Leon Parma to honor former Headmaster Michael Teitelman's 25 years of service to The Bishop's School. Mr. Parma, a former president of the School's Board of Trustees, and his family have a remarkable Bishop's legacy. Family members who have attended the School include children Margie Parma Clark '72, Patricia Parma Kressin '73, Julie Parma Kantner '77, Michael Parma '79; and grandchildren: Roy Clark '97, Leslie Kressin Irvine '98, Ashlie Kressin '00, Seth Kressin '02, Bryn Kressin '06, Sara Parma '06, and Kathryn Kantner '10.
  • Shaffer Family Foundation Endowed Science Lecture Series

    Established in 2012 by Tanya and Jim Shaffer, parents of Kelly Shaffer '14, through their abiding interest and support of science education.
  • The Learning Center

    Established in 2007 for the purpose of supporting the operations of the Learning Center and providing funding for the inaugural Learning Center Director.
  • The McCain Family Trust Athletic Endowment

    Established in 2001 by Ken and Mollie McCain, the parents of Matthew '99 and Justin '02 McCain. This fund was created in gratitude for the experiences their sons had in the water polo program while students at Bishop's.
  • Thompson Family Performing Arts Endowment

    Established in 2002 by Carol and Michael Thompson in gratitude for the exciting opportunities and outstanding teaching found in the School's Performing Arts Program. Their children are John '96, Christopher '02, and Summer '12 Thompson.
  • Visual Arts Endowment

    Established in 2001 to support the equipment and supplies needed for the School's Visual Arts Program.

The Bishop’s School is an independent, coeducational college-preparatory day school for students in grades six through twelve who live throughout San Diego County. Founded in 1909, the School is affiliated with the Episcopal church.
