Each school year, The Bishop’s School community gathers together in celebration of its founder, Miss Ellen Browning Scripps, and the exceptional alumni and faculty who embody her spirit and character.

The Bishop’s School Alumni Association Board invites you to an awards event with fabulous food, inspirational honorees and a whole lot of Bishop’s pride.

Tom Wornham ’78
Civic involvement and philanthropic leadership, coupled with a decades-long career in banking demonstrates his commitment to the community.
The Ellen Browning Scripps Distinguished Alumni Award is presented to alumni who bring honor and distinction to themselves and the School through their achievements.

Roy Perkins ’08
Drive and dedication to the sport he loves led him to the Paralympic Games in Beijing, London and Rio, earning 11 medals in swimming.
The Young Alumni Award is awarded to young alumni whose passion and energy sets an outstanding example for future alumni.

Louise Carmon, retired faculty (choral music)
As choral music teacher at Bishop's for 25 years, she created lifelong bonds and superior programs for generations of students.
The Michael W. Teitelman Leadership Award honors a visionary leader who has been transformative in shaping the minds, hearts and spirit of the Bishop's community.
