Recently recognized for her “distinct sailing style” in an article by John Pearce in Sailing World magazine, Claire Riedman ‘12, a senior at Cornell University, is dominating the racecourse. As her sailing team’s top boss, she constantly pushes for improvement, squeezing in extra practices to ensure efficient synergy. Her dedication and leadership has paid off, finishing fourth in the War Memorial Regatta and qualifying for the Atlantic Coast Championship.
“She joined our team in the spring of her junior year at Bishop's and immediately stood out with her athleticism, drive and dedication,” says Coach Aine McLean. “We just turned her into a sailor.”
The Bishop’s School is an independent, coeducational college-preparatory day school for students in grades six through twelve who live throughout San Diego County. Founded in 1909, the School is affiliated with the Episcopal church.
