When Dr. Susan Detwiler ’83 was asked why she traveled 5,000 miles to Fiji with her daughter Laura Bryant ’20 to provide needed dermatologic care to the locals there as part of the Loloma Foundation she responded: “I wanted Laura to get a sense of what I do as a physician when I am gone all day. It is increasingly difficult for young people to see what it’s like to be a doctor.”
Read the story on pages 8 and 9 of the summer 2015 issue of ISD Connection (Laura is on the magazine's cover!).
