MT8: Connections is a Broadway revue with a theme that felt especially important in 2020. Songs from a variety of musicals were brought together around the theme of connecting - whether it's a romantic connection, a familial connection, a disconnection, or a hope for connection.
Eighth grade students also wrote and performed original monologues related to the themes from these musicals, but from the middle school perspective. In this unique year, the class of 2025 also had the opportunity to design their own costumes and many enlisted the videography skills of their family members, while MT8 Technical students provided graphic design elements.
Performing arts teacher Lara Korneychuk says, “We are excited to share the culmination of a semester's work by the MT8 class of 2025, our first (and hopefully last) ever VIRTUAL MT8 production! Please grab some popcorn and enjoy MT8: Connections.
