Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation National Semifinalist
Jeffrey Wang ’21 was named a National Semifinalist in this annual scholarship selection process.
More than 99,000 high school students submitted applications for the 2021 Coca-Cola Scholarships. Jeffrey was among the 1,609 students selected as semi-finalists (1.6 percent of all applicants).
According to the foundation website, “The preliminary application consists of details about classes, extracurricular activities, and honors; the next step whittles this group down to 250. It requires essay responses, recommendations, transcripts, and additional information.” After January 2021, interviews were conducted, leading to the selection of the final 150 scholars, who received $20,000 each in scholarship funds.
“Coca-Cola Scholars are well-rounded, bright students who not only excel academically, but are also actively involved in their schools. These leaders are passionate and service-oriented and demonstrate a sustained commitment to bettering their community.”
