Eighth Grader Earns Top Score on National Military History Exam
Nason Li ’25 earned the top score on the Dec. 16 national exam, competing in the category against seventh and eighth graders from 14 different states from around the US. He received his medal on Feb. 13.
According to the exam website, the test covered “all facets of military history from ancient civilizations to the present-day. In addition to battles and wars, questions also covered military technology, strategy and tactics, and how military outcomes shaped the contours of history.” US military history made up approximately 30 percent of the questions.
Nason has a keen interest in history and geography; at Bishop’s, he has organized a middle school history club, and led the way in last year’s middle school Geo Bee.
The Bishop’s School is an independent, coeducational college-preparatory day school for students in grades six through twelve who live throughout San Diego County. Founded in 1909, the School is affiliated with the Episcopal church.
