Tenth grade class sponsor Jackie Gomez and members of the tenth-grade class council organized some fun games, activities and snacks for students on campus to enjoy outside at the end of the school day on Wednesday and Thursday.
Sophomores Alex Yang, Kenneth Xiong, Novalyne Petreikis and Luka Gilvelber helped set up equipment and distribute snacks; students enjoyed cookies on Wednesday and ice cream on Thursday, and everyone reveled in the sunshine and the afternoon break during the enrichment period. Spikeball, cornhole, four-square and volleyball were available outside on the quad and in front of the library; basketball was in the gym, and service clubs were set up on the terrace for those who wanted to participate in creative service projects. Or students could just hang out with friends. Everyone bounced along to the music, with song requests submitted beforehand by students to the class council.
For those who could not be on campus, Mr. Mecham organized an interactive online game with prizes, hosted in his Zoom classroom.
