Are you a Bishop's couple? We invite you to share your love story with us in this online questionnaire.
Melissa Alioto Murfey '97 and Scott Murfey '95
What are you up to now? We live in La Jolla. We have three boys: Carl (13), Laird (11) and Ryder (7). Carl is an eighth grader at Bishop's. It’s pretty fun to be an alumni couple and current parents. Our other boys are at Gillispie where fellow alum Alison Fleming '80 leads the charge. We are still surrounded by Bishop’s daily!
Tell us your love story! We met when Melissa was a sophomore and Scott was a senior. We dated for that school year but stayed in touch after we both went off to college on opposite coasts. Scott was building a house in the Adirondacks one summer and Melissa was working at a magazine in New York City and we reconnected. The rest is history.
How did Bishop's impact your relationship? Bishop’s gave us such an awesome group of friends that are now like family that we are still in touch with and lean on all the time.
What advice do you have for other Bishop's couples? Help keep the alumni events going! Come to reunions!
