Bishop’s Equestrian secured top-10 finishes at the Temecula Valley National Fall Series Nov. 11-15, held at Galway Downs in Temecula, California.
Cynthia Estey ‘21, with her horse Saltos, placed first, third and fifth in the Equitation (jump height 3’0” to 3’3”), fifth in the NHS Junior Medal, and eighth in both the USHJA Jumper and Hunter Seat Medals.
Co-captain Paige Walker ‘22 competed in the Children’s Jumper (jump height 1.10-1.15 meters) division with her horses Manchego and Colonie. They placed eighth, third, third and fourth out of 20 riders.
While Bishop’s show season - usually hosted by Orange County Interscholastic Equestrian League - has been cancelled, horse shows have taken place around San Diego since June. This week, Paige is showing at the Rider’s Cup, hosted by Del Mar Horsepark and co-captain Emma Marshall '22 is showing in the FEI Junior Dressage at Desert International Horse Park with her horse Diamond Star. In September, Peyten Seltzer ‘24 and her horse Verbatim had top placings in the 3’3” Junior Hunters at Blenheim Equisports.
