Three Bishop’s students competed in this event, earning local and national recognition.
The ARML is an annual national high school mathematics team competition usually held simultaneously at four locations across the United States. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, ARML Local was held online on the weekend of May 30th and 31.
There were 267 teams and more than 1500 students competing; eleven of the teams were from San Diego, including Bishop’s students Daniel Xu ’23, Emma Hong ’22, and Eddie Qiao ’23.
Emma earmed the highest score on her team, and Eddie Qiao ’23 scored 9 out of 10 to get 13th in the nation.
The Bishop’s School is an independent, coeducational college-preparatory day school for students in grades six through twelve who live throughout San Diego County. Founded in 1909, the School is affiliated with the Episcopal church.
