Knights Baseball Alumni Represent in San Diego League
A group of Knights Baseball alumni are back on San Diego’s diamonds, participating in the San Diego League, a summer league for college baseball players.
Graham Cartwright ’19, Austin Schroeder ’20 and Andy Semo ’18 compete for the Hooks, one of eight teams in the league. Cameron Ezeir ’19, a rising sophomore in Syracuse’s Newhouse School of Public Comumnication, provides play-by-play and commentary for all games, which are live streamed through the San Diego League’s website.
San Diego League teams play a 28-game schedule, which culminates in an all-star game on Friday, July 10 at Petco Park and a postseason.
According to their website, “The San Diego League was created in 2019 to provide college baseball players a summer league option that not just utilizes, but emphasizes analytics to assist in player development.”
Graham recently completed his first season for MIT while Andy concluded his second year as Fordham’s catcher. Austin is committed to Gonzaga’s baseball program.
The Bishop’s School is an independent, coeducational college-preparatory day school for students in grades six through twelve who live throughout San Diego County. Founded in 1909, the School is affiliated with the Episcopal church.
