Sierra Martin ’20 was named the San Diego Section Girls’ Water Polo Player of the Year, heading off an impressive list of all-section honors for the Knights’ winter student athletes.
Sierra finished her high school career by scoring four goals in a section Open Division semifinal win over La Jolla and another four in a 10-5 win in the championship match against Carlsbad as the Knights made it back-to-back titles.
Sophia Sanders ’21, Sofia Stein ’21 and Alex Bonaguidi ’22 were named alongside Sierra on the first team. Maggie Johnson ’22, Katie Scott ’20 and Mia Salatka ’20 were second-team honorees.
For Girls’ Basketball, sophomores Angie Robles (first team) and Renee Chong (second team) were honored.
The Bishop’s School is an independent, coeducational college-preparatory day school for students in grades six through twelve who live throughout San Diego County. Founded in 1909, the School is affiliated with the Episcopal church.
