Belen takes detail seriously and challenges herself to depict exactly what she envisions. Her art brings in the mathematical and scientific elements solely for their visual appeal. Belen works with intense focus and sees her work through to completion. Technically, she is taking a fast route to advancing. Belen shows us what is possible in art and takes apart “art rules” and places them into new form. This is demonstrated in this watercolor painting that uses cardboard backing and relief that cast shadows and bring in realism.
