Junior Places Second in National Synchronized Swimming
Jamie Xiao ’20 helped her team to place the second in USA National Synchronized Swimming Championships.
San Dieguito Synchro swim club sent eight athletes to the USA Synchro Seniors Nationals in San Antonio this April. With their hard work and persistence, they won the silver medal for the first time in the club history.
Jamie, a long-time dancer at PDG, and an avid synchronized swimmer, trains more than 15 hours per week after school with her club in various local pools. This sport takes a combination of artistic expression and athletic strength in water to excel. Jamie will continue to swim in her senior year in addition to taking on coaching younger swimmers at the club.
