A small group of students participated in a first-of-its-kind class this semester.
Taught by Bishop's Assistant Director of Athletics Shane Walton '98, LEAD explored leadership and taught upper school students how to become more advanced in their personal understanding, decision making and ability to lead others through their self-understanding, understanding of others, management of self, relational skills and goal accomplishment.
Through personal anecdotes, Coach Walton used his vast experience as a coach, a Division I student-athlete and professional football player, and founder of The Shane Walton Foundation to facilitate discussion with the students and explore three forms of leadership in the pass/fail course.
The Bishop’s School is an independent, coeducational college-preparatory day school for students in grades six through twelve who live throughout San Diego County. Founded in 1909, the School is affiliated with the Episcopal church.
