The goal of the need-based financial aid program is to bring to Bishop’s the most promising students, whoever they are, from a diversity of backgrounds with a myriad of interests. A promising student’s struggle to pay tuition should never be in the way of his or her path through this School.
The Bishop’s Board of Trustees is committed to sustaining a financial aid program that provides funds for 20 percent of the student body. Over the last 30 years, the financial aid program has grown from 20 students and a budget totaling $90,000 to 160 students and a budget of $2.9 million.
Donors who support financial aid with gifts of $5,000 or more will be invited to become a member of the Michael W. Teitelman Society. The society was named in gratitude to former head of school Michael Teitelman who had the vision that Bishop's magic lies in its people and dedicated himself to growing the School’s Need-based Financial Aid Program.
Become a member of the Michael W. Teitelman Society and join others who believe that it is possible to make a difference in the lives of talented young people by making a donation to the financial aid program. Donations may be made online by credit card, a check mailed to the School, a gift of appreciated securities, or as part of a planned gift that names Bishop's as a beneficiary with a percentage of the donor’s estate assets designated to the financial aid program.
