For many in the Bishop’s community, Nation United may sound familiar. Started by Isaiah Dawson ’18, team members are considered ambassadors for the game of lacrosse, and the organization’s goal is twofold: excel on the field and promote diversity within the sport. Kate credits two of her Bishop’s teachers for how she intends to approach the ambassador role.
Golfing since he was five years old, Colin is now competing in American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) tournaments. August 3-6 found him in his first AJGA tournament at the Junior All-Star championship event in Urbana, Ill., where he maintained the lead throughout the entire tournament. He carded eight birdies and scored three under par.
July 29 – 31, 2020 found Lucy in Columbia, Mo., competing in the American Junior Golf Association’s Stan Utley & Mid-American Youth Golf Foundation Junior All Star Tournament. She carded 10 birdies and scored even par to win the event.
Through an anonymous major endowment gift, Doug is now the School’s aquatics director, giving him the additional responsibilities of developing and managing operations of the aquatics facilities and programs.
The Bishop’s School is an independent, coeducational college-preparatory day school for students in grades six through twelve who live throughout San Diego County. Founded in 1909, the School is affiliated with the Episcopal church.
