Visual Arts

The photography courses at Bishop’s introduce students to the creative world of photography and remind them that there is more to photography than simply pushing a button.

The foundation course uses black and white film to acquaint the students with the basic camera controls. Students learn film processing and printing techniques while exploring photography as an art form.

Intermediate and advanced level classes expand the student’s knowledge base of photography as they learn to express their creative ideas with bold visual images. Digital imaging is introduced and expanded upon and the use of Adobe Photoshop allows students to strengthen and manipulate their images.
