Dance at Bishop's

Over the past two decades, The Bishop’s School dance program has grown into a stunning aspect of our School’s culture. The program offers all students the opportunity to dance in a supportive, challenging and enriching environment. Whatever the artistic level of a student, beginner through pre-professional, there is a place for them in our program.

Every class has the opportunity to perform at the end of each semester. Students are encouraged to audition their own choreographic works. Two major dance concerts occur each year. These concerts showcase the choreography of the advanced students, the program director and various guest artists.
"I believe the highest level of conversation you can engage in with a person, is to dance with them. Dance, as with all performing arts, is so much more than entertainment. It is a basic, fundamental form of communication. Much older (and in my opinion, much more effective) than language."
