The award is presented to an alumna/us who, through personal achievement, has brought honor and distinction to themselves and The Bishop’s School.  The award honors a recipient who has had a broad impact in the pursuit of their goals and has attracted wide recognition for their accomplishments.  In the spirit of the School’s mission, the recipient demonstrates integrity, imagination, moral responsibility, and commitment to serving the larger community. In the spirit of Ellen Browning Scripps, the recipient also serves as an inspirational role model for alumni of today and tomorrow.

Established in 2008, this award honors outstanding former and current members of the Bishop’s employee community who exemplify the leadership and ideals of Michael W. Teitelman, Head of School for over 25 years. It is presented to a visionary leader who has been transformative in shaping the minds, hearts, and spirits of the Bishop’s community. Beyond personal accomplishments, recipients of this award have inspired and supported others in advancing the School’s mission. Above all, they exemplify honor, integrity, and leadership of the highest character.

This award honors an alumna/us whose generous, loyal, and energetic commitment has significantly advanced the mission of The Bishop’s School. The recipient has distinguished themselves as a dedicated and supportive member of the community, contributing time and talent above and beyond expectations.

Presented to alumni whose careers have been highly distinguished.  The award honors individuals whose accomplishments and contributions are widely recognized as significant within their field. Recipients bring honor to themselves, their profession, and The Bishop’s School through their exceptional achievements

This award honors an alumna/us of fifteen years or fewer whose distinguished service to the School, community, or professional field sets an outstanding example for future alumni. The recipient’s passion, energy, and effectiveness serve as a source of inspiration for young alumni to come.
