Save the Date! Reunion Weekend: Oct. 22-24, 2021

We hope to gather in-person if it is safe and allowed. The weekend includes reunions for class years ending in 1 and 6 as well as alumni from the San Miguel School for Boys. Also, class years ending in 0 and 5 will have make-up reunions if in-person gatherings are safe and allowed.

Come home to Bishop's and celebrate Reunion Weekend with family, classmates, friends, retirees, faculty and staff. Celebrate the Classes of 1956, 1961, 1966, 1971, 1976, 1981, 1986, 1991, 1996, 2001, 2006, 2011 and 2016! Join in for classroom visits, campus tours, the kickoff party, milk break, chapel service, class reunion parties and more. Make your plans to be back on campus and remember the days of…senior rec room, uniform violations, T-Day, advisory and more.

    Walk the halls again on this guided tour of Bishop's! Visit your favorite spots on campus, peek into your old dorm room or advisory classroom and find your name on the chapel walls.
    Student Panel
    What is the Bishop’s experience like today? Hear from a panel of students what’s the same and what has changed since your time at Bishop’s from academics to student life to extracurricular activities and more. 

    Class without Homework 
    Sit in on classes with current students and participate in the discussion. Bonus: no homework! Subject options available in September.


    Reunion Kickoff Party
    Start the weekend under the stars catching up with classmates and friends as everyone arrives for the weekend. The event will also include a student performance, toast by Alumni Association Board Events Chair, welcome remarks from Head of School Ron Kim and recognition of the Class Reunion Chairs. Following the Kickoff Party, classes will reminisce at their off-campus Class Happy Hours.


    Milk Break and More
    Celebrate the tradition of a Bishop’s milk break by joining Head of School Ron Kim and Bishop's Chaplain Rev. Nicole Simopoulos-Pigato in the prayer garden before chapel for cookies, pastries, coffee and juice.

    Alumni Chapel Service
    All alumni are invited to join the Reunion Weekend chapel service featuring alumni readers and performers, blessing of classes beyond their 50th reunion and the reading of the names of our deceased reunion alumni. The Rev. Nicole Simpoulos-Pigato’s homily is sure to make you feel as though you are a student again - finding peace and inspiration in St. Mary's Chapel.

    State of the School with Ron Kim
    Mr. Kim will share a candid look at today's student experience, what inspires our faculty and what is ahead for Bishop's. Alumni can submit questions for Mr. Kim in advance by emailing 


    Individual Class Reunion Parties
    Rekindle friendships and make new memories with old friends at your class reunion party. Details available this summer.

We hope to gather in-person for Reunion Weekend 2021. Hotel room blocks and discounts will be posted in March and are typically available at Empress Hotel and Inn by the Sea at La Jolla within walking distance to campus.

The Bishop’s School is an independent, coeducational college-preparatory day school for students in grades six through twelve who live throughout San Diego County. Founded in 1909, the School is affiliated with the Episcopal church.
