Each school year, The Bishop’s School community gathers together in celebration of its founder, Miss Ellen Browning Scripps, and the exceptional alumni and faculty who embody her spirit and character.

The Bishop’s School Alumni Association Board invites you to join your Bishop's community for a remarkable evening in recognition of these inspiring honorees.

The evening includes a reception with the honorees and an elegant three-course dinner followed by an inspiring awards presentation.

2019 Honorees:

Mary Coleman '82 - Senior development executive at Pixar Animation Studios
Ellen Browning Scripps Distinguished Alumni Award - Presented to alumni who bring honor and distinction to themselves and the School through their achievements

Gay Johnston Crawford '61 - Advocate for cancer patients and their families for four decades
Rosamond Larmour Loomis Alumni Service Award - Awarded to alumni who demonstrate initiative, caring and dedication to making the world a better place

Marcia Harrod - Devoted teacher and coach at Bishop's for more than 30 years
Michael W. Teitelman Leadership Award - Honors a visionary leader who has been transformative in shaping the minds, hearts and spirit of the Bishop's community

The Bishop’s School is an independent, coeducational college-preparatory day school for students in grades six through twelve who live throughout San Diego County. Founded in 1909, the School is affiliated with the Episcopal church.
