The purpose of Bishop's Alumni Association Board (AAB) is to promote and enhance the social and professional development of the alumni of The Bishop’s School through mentoring, facilitating communications and networking among alumni, assisting the faculty and administration of The Bishop’s School in their relations with alumni and such other means as the membership may deem appropriate. 

To encourage and engage lifetime participation physically, spiritually and financially of all Bishop’s and San Miguel alumni in the alumni community and in the well-being and traditions of the School.

Formal organizing and gathering of alumni goes back to the early years of the school. Groups came together for social events like the Alumnae Tea and gatherings with the head of school, as well as for philanthropy like the donation of “The Bishop’s Chair” in St. Mary’s Chapel. In 2011, the board changed its name from the Alumni Leadership Council (ALC) to the Alumni Association Board (AAB).
