• Submit your $100 non-refundable application fee. If applying for financial aid, the application fee is reduced to $50. Please email our office at admissions@bishops.com to request an application fee waiver if the fee would be a hardship for your family. The application fee is automatically waived for current full-time Bishop's faculty/staff members and active-duty military families.

  • Current English Teacher Recommendation Form
  • Current Math Teacher Recommendation Form
  • Current School Administrator Recommendation Form
  • Transcripts (current Fall 2026 grades and two prior years), school-administered standardized testing, and school record

We are excited to share that The Bishop's School, Francis Parker School, La Jolla Country Day School, and Pacific Ridge School are now using a common admissions platform, FinalSite Enrollment.  This allows your students' teachers to fill out one recommendation form that can be linked to our institutions, instead of completing duplicate recommendations.  We recommend using the same email address across each parent portal, as this will easily allow you to link recommendation forms across all three schools. Thank you for your partnership.

Students who are applying for the 2027-2028 school year are required to take either the Independent School Entrance Exam or the Secondary School Admission Test.  

If you are applying for financial aid at Bishop’s, and if the ISEE/SSAT registration fee would be a hardship for your family, please email faimie.kingsley@bishops.com to request a fee waiver.

•  If you plan on submitting ISEE scores (ERB member number: 051330) for entry in:
  • 6th grade, take the Lower Level Exam
  • 7th/8th grade, take the Middle Level Exam
  • 9th-12th grade, take the Upper Level Exam
     
• If you plan on submitting your SSAT scores (school code: 1647) for entry in:
  • 6th/7th/8th grade, take the Middle Level Exam
  • 9th-11th grade, take the Upper Level Exam
     
• If you are applying for 10th, 11th, or 12th grade, we will accept a PSAT, SAT, or ACT score in place of the ISEE/SSAT.

The Bishop’s School uses the Clarity Application to determine a family’s level of financial need based on the information that families share in the application, which includes assets, income, expenses, and debts.

The 2027-2028 financial aid application will open September 1, 2026. The financial aid application for returning families will be due by December 1, 2026. The financial aid application for new families will be due by February 1, 2027.

Please note that the entire financial aid budget is typically allocated to families who apply by the appropriate deadline.
