The Bishop’s School is pleased to offer half day and individual sports camp sessions.

Knights Youth Summer Camp
The Knights Youth Summer Camp is designed for boys and girls ages five to seven. The camp runs daily from 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon. Campers participate in a variety of activities that will enhance motor and hand-eye skills, and are encouraged to take part in sport building exercises such as running, jumping, and catching. Safety, teamwork and sportsmanship will be emphasized throughout the camp experience.

Bishop's Knights Sports Camps
Several individual sports camp sessions are available each week at the Bishop’s Knights Sports Camps. Participants can elect to take an individual sports camp session by the week and/or for a specific time. The School reserves the right to cancel an individual sports camp due to under-enrollment. Separate registration for summer session classes is available for camp participants.

KNIGHTS YOUTH SUMMER CAMP

JUNE 20-JULY 29, 2011Co-ed, Ages 5-7 | $300/wk
Campers participate in a variety of activities that will enhance motor and hand-eye skills, and are encouraged to take part in sport building exercises such as running, jumping, and catching. The camp begins at 8:00 a.m. and ends at 12:00 noon, Monday through Friday. Lunch is available for an additional fee ($6/day or $25/week, if purchased at time of registration). A mid-morning snack is provided at no cost.

Bishop's KNIGHTS Sports CAMPs

JUNE 20-JULY 28, 2011Many of the coaches at the Bishop’s Knights Sports Camps work with Bishop’s student athletes during the regular school sports seasons and have coached at the CIF and State championship levels in their sport. Lunch is available for an additional fee ($6/day or $25/week, if purchased at time of registration). All playing levels are welcome.

Basketball (Code BB)

Co-ed, Ages 8-12 | $175 per session per week
This camp places an emphasis on improving skills such as ball handling and shooting, becoming quicker, learning new moves, and developing an overall knowledge of the game. The coaching staff provides positive feedback, building self-esteem and instilling pride in each player.

Lacrosse

Boys, Ages 8-12 
The lacrosse camp program is taught by Adrenaline Lacrosse on behalf of The Bishop’s School (see www.adrenalinelacrosse.com for more information). The camp focuses on personalized attention, skill building, and positive feedback. Athletes learn stick skills as well as offensive and defensive principals. At the conclusion of each session players receive motivational handouts and individu¬alized feedback. Players are responsible for providing helmets, pads, and sticks.

Soccer (Code SC)

Co-ed, Ages 8-12 | $175 per session per week
Coaches at the Knights Soccer Camp use proven methods and styles to motivate and inspire young players. Dribbling, passing, ball control and shooting skills are taught and/or improved in game environments that combine learning and fun for young players.

Tennis (Code TN)

Co-ed, Ages 8-12 | $175 per session per week
The tennis camp is designed to introduce players to all aspects of the game and through the use of proper technique to enhance their skills in a fun and safe environment. More experienced players are instructed in greater detail and participate in competitive matches. Young players are taught the fundamentals of tennis. Participants are responsible for providing rackets.

Knights Strength and Agility Camp

Co-ed, Grades 7-12
$495 for all 6 weeks or $150 per session per week

The Knights Strength and Agility Camp is designed to help older student athletes improve their overall athleticism. A series of functional exercises, speed training and conditioning drills are combined to emphasize strength, speed, agility, flexibility and endurance.

Co-ed, Grades 3-7 | $135 per session per week
This clinic is designed as an introductory course for players with limited experience and focuses on movement skills, footwork patterns, and basic skill progressions for serving, passing, setting, and spiking. This clinic provides the ideal fundamental base so young players can quickly learn to enjoy the game.

Volleyball II

Summer Camps Volleyball Co-ed, Grades 7-10 | $135 per session per week
This clinic is designed as an intermediate course for players who can execute the basic skills of the game, but are now ready to apply them in game-like situations. In addition to skill instruction, players learn perceptual skills, between-contact responsibilities, and successful tactics. This clinic is the ideal one to help prepare players for their middle school and high school seasons.

Volleyball III

Girls, Varsity $135 per session per week
These clinics are reserved for girls who play at the high school varsity level due to extensive club experience. These are specialized clinics that are either position-based (Setter-Attacker, Libero) or competition-based. Videotape is used extensively, and players are challenged to move their games beyond their “comfort zones.”
